January 18 in Nebraska: Circle of Iron BJJ Championships
The Circle of Iron BJJ Championships is a point style Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Tournament. All closed weight brackets will be double elimination and scored using the IBJJF point system. All illegal techniques are described in the IBJJF rule book. Open weight divisions are divided into 2 main categories, Novice Open Weight and Advanced Open Weight divisions. These divisions will be single elimination and are separated for male and female adult competitors and by belt level. First place competitors in each open weight division will win a $100 cash prize! The school that accumulates the most academy points will win the Circle of Iron Champions Cup trophy. Academy points are awarded in every division. They are distributed as follows: Champion – 9 points Runner-up – 3 points Third place – 1 point
