UFC 198 Predictions By Benjamin OTM

UFC 198 Predictions By Benjamin  OTM
Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic
Werdum has done well in his latest run in the UFC, but that may come to an end depending on how his fight with Miocic goes. It should be clear that miocic has a better shot standing, but his ground game has never really been tested. The problem is if he can’t get it to the ground which if you watch his fight with Overeem he does not have the greatest takedowns. That is why Miocic will win by picking him apart standing. Miocic by close decision.
Ronaldo Souza vs. Vitor Belfort
Souza made the mistake of staying standing too long with Yoel Romero but will not make that here. He will take Belfort down and tire him out in the first then take him down and finish him in the second. Souza by second round submission.
Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall
If Hall wants a standing he fight he will get it with Silva. While his killer instinct was lacking against Hall it will not be in front of his home crowd. Anderson can control the distance and use his range. Silva by TKO in the third round.
Cris Cyborg vs. Leslie Smith
Smith is a tough fighter, but Cyborg has been on a tear and can finish standing or with ground and pound. Smith has never really been finished but she has been outclassed and she will again in this fight. Cyborg by first round TKO.
Maurício Rua vs. Corey Anderson
Rua returns to try and actually win a fight after losing too many since dropping the title to Jon Jones. Anderson has been on a streak and is looking to use the former champion as a stepping stone. He looked sharper in his last fight due to having a good training camp. I expect him to build off that performance. Rua by TKO in the third round.
Demian Maia vs. Matt Brown
Maia is a submission artist while Brown has been tapped in 9 of 13 losses. The writing is on the wall. Maia by submission in the first.

UFC 200: Cormier vs. Jones announced as new main event to replace Diaz vs. McGregor

UFC 200: Cormier vs. Jones announced as new main event to replace Diaz vs. McGregor
It seems that Conor McGregor is really out of uFC 200, July 9, at the brand new T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas.
The promotion announced this wednesday that the new main event for UFC 200 will be the highly anticipated rematch between ligth-heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier and now interim champ Jon Jones.
The fight was originally scheduled for last sSaturday, at UFC 197, but Cormier withdrew with an injury.
Ovince Saint Preux stepped in at the last time and Jones got the unanimous decision win after five rounds to get his provisory belt.
Jones and Cormier have one of the nastiest rivalries in the UFC, with numerous altercations and insane badmouthing.
They fought once at UFC 182, when Jones came out with a unanimous decision win.

WORLDS 2016 – AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM IBJJF ABOUT PED’S

Worlds 2016
June 1st*, 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th, 2016
IBJJF is pleased to support integrity in competition, and to announce it has contracted with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (“USADA”) to provide an anti-doping program during the IBJJF World Championships (the “Event”), to be held at the California State University in Long Beach, California, from June 1-5, 2016, a IBJJF sanctioned event. USADA is the independent national anti-doping organization for the United States, and runs the U.S. anti-doping program for the Olympic, Paralympic, Pan-American and Parapan American movements, in accordance with the World Anti-Doping Agency (“WADA”) Code (“Code”). IBJJF has contracted with USADA to demonstrate a commitment to fair, drug-free, and safe competition. Doping of any kind is against the rules of this event, and will not be tolerated. Any violation of the anti-doping rules may result in disqualification and loss of results achieved during the Event, in addition to any consequences that may arise in accordance with USADA’s rules under the WADA Code.
Athletes competing in the Event may be subject to blood and/or urine testing for any substance or method on the World Anti-Doping Agency Prohibited List: http://www.usada.org/prohibited-list/. In addition to testing, USADA is a resource for educational information and will have jurisdiction to handle the results management process. All event participants acknowledge and agree that they are subject to the Code and the USADA Protocol for Olympic and Paralympic Movement Testing and its Annexes (the “USADA Protocol”), and that they are required to abide by all such rules, and by the anti-doping rules of the participant’s National and International Federation. Anti-doping rule violations will be adjudicated in accordance with the USADA Protocol and/or the anti-doping rules of the participant’s National and International Federation.
As USADA is an independent entity, all athlete questions or concerns regarding details of the anti-doping program at the event should be directed to USADA. In an effort to aid athletes, as well as all support team members such as parents and coaches, in understanding the rules applicable to them, USADA provides comprehensive information on its website regarding the testing process and prohibited substances, how to obtain permission to use a necessary medication, and the risks and dangers of taking supplements as well as performance-enhancing and recreational drugs. Athletes looking for information about the testing process can start at www.usada.org/athletes. In addition, USADA manages an athlete hotline which may be used to find answers to drug reference questions at (719) 785-2000, toll-free at (866) 601-2632, by email at athleteexpress@usada.org. Athletes may also access this information online at www.GlobalDRO.com. For information about dietary supplements, please visit USADA’s Supplement 411 resource at www.Supplement411.org.
