No Holds Barred: Carlos Santos
On this edition of No Holds Barred, host Eddie Goldman speaks with
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend Carlos Santos.
After nine years teaching jiu-jitsu in Abu Dhabi, the three-time BJJ
world heavyweight champion, trained by the late Carlson Gracie Sr.,
has relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, where in February of
this year he opened the Prime Jiu-Jitsu Center (http://
www.primebjj.com).
The Prime Jiu-Jitsu Center is the first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt
Center in Colorado Springs, which is also the home of the U.S. Olympic
Training Center.
We spoke with Carlos Santos by phone Tuesday afternoon.
"For me, jiu-jitsu is not only a fight," he stated in this interview.
"Jiu-jitsu is a lifestyle."
