5th American Cup
We are very excited to invite you to the 5th American Cup Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament! This tournament is open to kids, juveniles, and adults to senior divisions. The American Cup is one of the biggest, most fair and fun kids tournaments in the world! Last year we had over 300 kids compete. The best part is- all kids receive a medal! Parents, you don't want to miss this great opportunity! Now is the time to sign up for the 5th American Cup Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Tournament! We are reminding everyone that early registration for the American Cup is open until April 13, 2012.
The preliminary schedule is now posted, but subject to change. Check the website, www.americancupbjj.com to see what day you will be competing!

The Pan Kids 2012 was a huge success. The event took place this past February 19, 2012 at the Cal State Dominguez Hills Campus with hundreds of Kids and teens competing enthusiastically and fiercely for the title.Checkmat BJJ took the overall team title follow by Lloyd Irvin M.A. Academy and Gracie Humaita

Rodrigo Medeiros Moving to Hong Kong
BJJ Revolution team co-leader Rodrigo Medeiros is leaving his home in San Diego, California to explore new horizons in Hong Kong. After 16 years in the USA, in which he built one of the powerhouse competitions teams in the US, multiple times National Champion "BJJ Revolution Team", Rodrigo now follows an opportunity to expand BJJ in that great city. Rodrigo is scheduled to lead a brand new Mega Academy in Hong Kong. Update on the location etc. to follow soon.
Rodrigo and students had a get together/goodbye gathering this past weekend and here is what Rodrigo had to say:
"Thank you for all my students for the great weekend that you share with me. Specially Dan Miller, that kindness made the amazing dinner for our team at the best restaurant in San Diego, Harrys Bar and Grill. Thank Tim Credeur and Gabe Miller for the amazing seminar and for believing in me and BJJ Revolution Team . Congratulations to all the students that got promoted. You deserved it! Thank you for trusting me to guide you in this unique journey.
Thank you all of the students that make part of this special day in my life. Me, my wife Renata and my daughter Sophia are blessed to have you all in our lives!!! Thank you all my students that has been as my family and part of my life in the last 16 years in USA .
The BJJ Revolution Team is YOU ,believe and support your team more than never ,this year will be special and amazing things are to come."

Submission only GI tourney being held at New Bridge Middle school gym on March 17, 2012. Kids, teen and adults. Weigh ins start at 8am. Event open until last man standing. Kids match max 5 min limit. Adults match max 15 min limit. Pre registration and rules will be posted soon. Entry fee is $40 for pre-reg and $50 at the door. Open to all schools and individuals.
