Fabricio Werdum vs. Stipe Miocic
Werdum has done well in his latest run in the UFC, but that may come to an end depending on how his fight with Miocic goes. It should be clear that miocic has a better shot standing, but his ground game has never really been tested. The problem is if he can’t get it to the ground which if you watch his fight with Overeem he does not have the greatest takedowns. That is why Miocic will win by picking him apart standing. Miocic by close decision.
Ronaldo Souza vs. Vitor Belfort
Souza made the mistake of staying standing too long with Yoel Romero but will not make that here. He will take Belfort down and tire him out in the first then take him down and finish him in the second. Souza by second round submission.
Anderson Silva vs. Uriah Hall
If Hall wants a standing he fight he will get it with Silva. While his killer instinct was lacking against Hall it will not be in front of his home crowd. Anderson can control the distance and use his range. Silva by TKO in the third round.
Cris Cyborg vs. Leslie Smith
Smith is a tough fighter, but Cyborg has been on a tear and can finish standing or with ground and pound. Smith has never really been finished but she has been outclassed and she will again in this fight. Cyborg by first round TKO.
Maurício Rua vs. Corey Anderson
Rua returns to try and actually win a fight after losing too many since dropping the title to Jon Jones. Anderson has been on a streak and is looking to use the former champion as a stepping stone. He looked sharper in his last fight due to having a good training camp. I expect him to build off that performance. Rua by TKO in the third round.
Demian Maia vs. Matt Brown
Maia is a submission artist while Brown has been tapped in 9 of 13 losses. The writing is on the wall. Maia by submission in the first.
